Myth #3: Women are worse drivers.

Fact: Now, who came up with this silliness, hmmm? Don’t answer that. Let’s see what one of the most reliable sources for all things to do with car accidents has to say. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, men are still more likely to die in a car crash due to reckless driving behaviors. Men typically drive more miles and engage in more risky driving than women. Not wearing a safety belt is also a more common issue among men than women. Studies do find that women end up in more minor “fender-bender” accidents, relative to the amount they drive, but men will still win the award for “Most Likely to Seriously Crash the Car”. In the end, it all depends on how one defines the words “worse driver.” Viva la Mars & Venus debate!
