CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW FEDERAL L&I, STATE L&I AND PRIVATE WORKERS COMPENSATION PATIENTS.
If you've been injured on the job, you have come to the right place! Not only do our massage therapists have extensive knowledge in treating injuries, our administrative department knows all the ins and outs of what is needed to get your claim open and make sure all your massage appointments are covered.
What do I need before my first appointment?
You’ll need 3 things:
1. Open Claim
You'll need to have an open claim with either Federal L&I (OWCP), State Labor & Industries, or a Private Workers Compensation Company.
Contact your employer for more details on how to open a claim.
2. Prescription/Referral

You will need a prescription from a referring provider. A referring provider can be a DO, MD, ND, ARNP, PA-C or DC. The prescription determines what areas of the body need treatment and for how long to treat.
If you need help with getting a Rx for massage therapy, contact Whatcom Occupational Health - 360.676.1693.
3. Once opened, your claim must be approved for Massage Therapy
Once our office has received your prescription, we then must submit the request to your workers compensation authorization department. When we hear back whether our request was approved or denied, we will contact you.
Note: This process can take up to 2 weeks to complete.
