Nicole, LMT

Specialties: Trigger Point, Myofascial, Extremities

Pressure: Light, Medium, and Deep

"Nicole has had her massage described as both 'intentional' and 'focused,' and integrates both passive stretching and active movements during her massage in order to help a client more fully integrate the body work. She has worked with diverse populations, but seems to attract those who need more space and support during their healing journey--as well as those who love to read or participate in geek culture."

Jonathan, LMT

Specialties: Intra-Oral, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, Migraine

Pressure: Medium, Deep

"I like Medical Massage because it is more mentally challenging and more rewarding than other types of massage that I’ve done in the past.

AMM has pointed me in the direction of taking high quality continuing education with NeuroSomatic Educators that has drastically changed the way I treat and look at the body. I’ve also learned a lot from a variety of talented therapists over the years that have worked at the clinic.

I like the rewards of helping people get rid of their pain, the creativity and critical thinking involved, and the hours aren’t bad either.

What drew me to massage originally was a mind blowing treatment massage from a friend which piqued my curiosity so I thought that I’d give massage school a try. I loved it from there on!"

Grace, LMT

Specialties; Lymphatic Drainage, Acute Injuries, Relaxation

Pressure: Light, Medium.

"My strengths as an LMT are taking the time to breathe and listen to the client and their body language. I move slowly in order to hear how muscles and fascia are moving together in the body. Taking the time to make sure people feel safe and comfortable in the treatment room is important to me.  I love to figure out a treatment plan so that my patients can feel at home in their bodies and move through their daily lives without pain.

My favorite thing about working in a group is the support and community that we all share with each other and with our clients.  We all offer something a little different and come from different backgrounds, so I love that we can give clients a well-rounded experience and can meet them wherever their needs are.

I love AMM's training classes because we are always working on new and different injuries, so there is always something more to learn!  Education is paramount in medical massage, and I am grateful to be able to learn more about the human body while working at the clinic, and be able to go through extra training with my coworkers."

Kayla, LMT

Specialties: Trigger Point, Neuromuscular, SCM, Scalene

Pressure: light, Medium, Deep

"The body is so intelligent that it adapts to trauma and repetitive movement as it sees fit. I love that Medical Massage continues to bring out my curiosity on how the body works. It makes my job super fun!

My favorite part of the body to treat is the ribcage, because of its connection to so many other structures in the body."

Xander (Conor), LMT

Specialties: Cupping, Myofascial, Hydrotherapy, Trigger Point

Pressure: Medium-Medium Firm

"I received comprehensive training at WCC that covered a spectrum of massage techniques, including Swedish relaxation massage, hydrotherapy, lymphatic facilitation, myofascial techniques, pregnancy massage, sports massage, cupping, and various treatment techniques. My expertise extends to trigger point therapy, positional release, neuromuscular techniques, deep transverse friction, and ice massage.

My passion lies in relieving painful symptoms through treatment plans that build body awareness and symptom management. Trigger point therapy resonates with me deeply, motivating my commitment to empower clients, helping them feel embodied, rejuvenated, and in control of their physical well-being."

Malee, LMT

Specialties: Extremities, Psoas

Pressure: Medium, Deep

"I love Medical Massage because I have the opportunity to help heal an individual and help them connect on a deeper level with their body. It is a discovery process in each session, and the patient usually walks away with a greater knowledge of themselves. I love that I am able to help facilitate that!

I started my massage therapy career as a licensed canine massage therapist. I worked (and still do!) on dogs who compete in sports, which is a world I am immersed in because of my own sports dogs. People started asking if I could massage them, and that sent me down the discovery of what all I could do as a human massage therapist."

Tristan, LMT

Specialties: Rotator Cuff, Sciatica, Trigger Point, SCM, Scalene

Pressure: Medium, Deep

My passion is based in healing-focused education; educating myself, my patients and my massage students. People thrive when they derive their own sense of efficacy—recognizing, connecting with, and empowering self-healing. My favorite modalities are trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy and self-care.

Like human development, healing is a non-linear process. My greatest skill is the ability to adapt to the changing needs of my patients and students. My mission is to create a space where learning and healing happen hand-in-hand.

Maggie, LMT

Specialties: Cranial-Sacral, Intra-Oral

Pressure: Light-Medium

"What I like about Medical Massage is being able to solve problems and help people in their acute healing, as well as their long term health goals.

Massage therapy originally allowed me the flexibility to be more available to single parent my daughter, while making a decent living. I like working in the healing milieu, and the people it attracts.

I have always been interested in many aspects of healing, so when the local Community College opened a program, I was very attracted to study massage. It's been over 17 years, now, and I'm still doing it."

Gregory-Anne, LMT

Specialties: Lymphatic Drainage        Facilitation, Hips

Pressure: Medium, Deep

"I am honored and grateful to be a Medical Massage therapist. So many of my skills and passions come together in this work. I am guided in my work by palpation, hearing the patients concerns and observing presentations. My knowledge, curiosity, and education help me choose various modalities, however, I do specialize in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Structural Integration.

I chose Medical Massage because it feels right for me in my desire to help others on their healing journey. It keeps me challenged, learning, and growing in many ways!

AMM has been an incredible place to better develop this art/craft/therapy. As a community of healers, we not only learn from each other in structured and unstructured settings, but also hold ourselves to our highest standards in thought and practice."

Deborah, LMT

Specialties: Cupping, Zero Balancing

Pressure: Light, Medium

"I began my massage career in 2005 with a desire to help people heal their bodies. In that time, my philosophy of healing has evolved from “no pain- no gain” to ‘what does this body need right now’. There is a conversation that happens between my hands and the body on the table. The goal is to release deeply held restrictions, allowing the person to reorganize and discover the innate health that is always there.

My favorite techniques to use are myofascial release, Zero Balancing and Thera cupping. My approach is respectful of the healing process that is in motion".

Lauren, LMT

Specialties: Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Relaxation

Pressure: Light, Medium

"What I like about Medical Massage is that I usually get to see and work with patients multiple times. It's really rewarding to provide relief to an area of pain or specific injury that we work on over multiple sessions. I love getting to see the progress, change, and relief in my clients.

I chose AMM because I was looking for a highly supportive, knowledgeable, and caring clinic and I believe I have found that here! I have already learned so much and feel supported in growing and helping the community together.

Three words that describe myself are:

Let’s C....

Caring

Courteous

Curious"

Lorraine, LMT

Specialties: Swedish, Shoulders

Pressure: Medium, Deep

"My strength as a LMT is my genuine care and desire to relieve pain and increase wellbeing for my patients. It is my passion to help people get out of pain so they can live their best life. I enjoy getting to know my patients and building relationships. I believe the body's innate self-healing capacity is amazing and I am simply helping facilitate that process. I offer further information to my patients to empower them to have more tools for taking their health into their own hands. I am very familiar with working with people that have experienced car accidents, work accidents, and sports injuries as well as supporting overall wellness for my patients. I enjoy the challenge of medical massage which is why I was drawn to AMM. I am excited to contribute my skills, experience, and passion here at AMM!"

Mallory, LMT

Specialties: Trigger Point, Psoas, Rotator Cuff

Pressure: Light, Medium, Deep

"I love medical massage because of its ability to help you grow a strong mind-body connection, which is integral in every healing journey. My strength as a therapist is the ability to tailor each massage to an individual patient’s needs. I use a combination of styles such as deep tissue, relaxation, trigger point therapy,  and myofascial release to find what works for you.

I enjoy working at AMM because of the many different styles of massage that each therapist provides. Not only does this allow each patient to have a diverse experience with massage, but I’ve also been able to deepen my own practice by learning from my colleagues. It is so amazing to work with such a collaborative and supportive team!"

"My strengths as a an LMT would include adaptability and the ability to tailor a treatment plan for each individual based on their needs in that session.

Working in a group is really cool because as professionals we benefit from one another’s points of view and collectively we have so many skills and treatment styles for patients to get the most out of their treatment.

I love that AMM offers continuing education classes as it holds us accountable to being the most thorough and evolving therapists as we can be. There is no chance for complacency and I love that."

Erika, LMT

Specialties: Cranial Sacral, Intuitive, Lymphatic Facilitation, Children

Pressure: Light, Medium, Medium-Firm

"I certified in therapeutic massage 33 years ago at the Health Enrichment Center in Lapeer, Michigan, then moved to Seattle and was licensed in Washington state the following year (1991). My medical massage practice has been an incredible journey for me professionally and personally, leading to many discoveries on the path of healing, health and wellness. Certification in the BodyTalk System in 2010 expanded my understanding and curiosity about how the body and mind work together to create balance and to heal. I have a medically-oriented intuition that brings an open-minded approach to my medical training. Often in my practice, I find it helpful to address the relationship between fascia and the nervous system in treating injuries, to help relieve stress and support the body to heal. I welcome all ages in my treatment work."

Michele, LMT

Specialties: Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Scalp Massage.

Pressure: Light, Medium

"As a dual licensed Reflexologist and Massage Therapist, I specialize in Lymphatic Drainage, encompassing both Reflexology and Manual techniques. Lymphatic drainage facilitates lymph movement, alleviating trauma symptoms and eliminating toxins. Additionally, I focus on relieving tension in the shoulders, head, and neck post-car accident to prevent further injury, aiding pain relief, inflammation reduction, and promoting healing for enhanced recovery."

Jacey, LMT

Specialties: Shoulders, Psoas, Hips

What drew me to AMM was the atmosphere and teamwork approach to healing and providing holistic treatment along with the curiosity for further education. The facility has this calm and welcoming vibe that not only the therapist can notice and feel, but also the patients as well.

As a therapist I really enjoy being able to see patients multiple times and being able to see the progress on there healing journey. My drive to help heal patients gets stronger daily working with such a supportive and talented group.

Ollie, LMT

Specialties: Sports Massage, Rotator Cuff

Pressure: Medium, Deep

"I have been doing massage since 2015.  I am an avid extreme sport enthusiast.  Because of that I have learned a great deal about working on athletes in order to get them back out there to enjoy what they love.  I specialize in deep tissue and sports massage."

Virginia, LMT

Specialties:  Myofascial Release, Trigger Point

Pressure: Light, Medium

"I began massage practice in 2013 and have loved it ever since! In 2019 I moved to beautiful Bellingham from Iowa and joined AMM's amazing team of LMTs and staff. I enjoy working together with everyone to create optimal treatment plans and provide the best care possible for our patients. I specialize in trigger point therapy, medical massage, and pregnancy massage. My working style is known for a combination of deep tissue, relaxation, and therapeutic techniques for optimal pain relief. I believe the mind-body connection is pivotal in release of tension and therefore I often integrate breath work and active isolated stretching in my sessions in a collaborative way. I love working at AMM because it is a joy to see the positive effect massage can have in providing relief and ultimately recovery! I continue to learn from my colleagues and value the opportunity for growth and expertise at AMM. "

Chelae, LMT

Specialties: Cupping, Trigger Point, Migraine, Hips

Pressure: Light, Medium, Deep

"I was drawn to massage therapy, because I think it is amazing that the muscular system affects so many other systems of the body, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work in this field.

I love to see the people I work with leave the treatments feeling some relief from pain, and having a better connection with their bodies.

My massage style is synergistic: I integrate every new technique I learn from myofascial release to deep tissue to Trager and more, and apply them as needed for a unique treatment for every patient."

Katie, LMT

Specialties: Whiplash, Trigger Point, Psoas

Pressure: Light, Medium, Deep

I love medical massage due to it's ability to help an individual regain function and mobility back into their lives. Using my knowledge of anatomy, and kinesiology to aid in one's healing process brings me great joy.

I began my career in medical massage over a decade ago, but joining the team at AMM in 2013 brought my career and skills to the next level. Working with such a broad spectrum of acute injuries helped me to hone my treatment skills and become a better educator and communicator with patients. The harmonious environment, comradery with other LMTs,  as well as the continued focus on education is what keeps me enthusiastic about practicing at AMM.

Three words I would use to describe myself would be patient, kind, and non-judgemental.

One of my favorite continuing education classes I’ve taken is manual ligament therapy. It is such a gentle and subtle technique that provides tremendous results.
